West pokot county , its illiteracy level stands at 67 percent and poverty level stands at 57.4 percent against 32 percent nationally. Pokot county have four sub county's , North pokot being most affected with child marriage, FGM and teenage pregnancy . Teenage pregnancy standing at 36 percent, north pokot leading with more teenagers getting pregnant at and early age and being married off in exchange of cattle. A bigger percentage of young people lack knowledge and information on sexual reproductive heath and rightin north pokot , this leads to rising of the teen pregnancy.

with the help of government , they have build two functional polytechnic around north pokot sub county and St Bakitha secondary school ( rescue center) . The two polytechnic, kitala kapel Technical Training Instutute and Kodich Technicall Training Institute are seving north pokot community with 85 percent of the school population being young people around north pokot. Kitala kapel TTI having over 800 stundents and kodich TTI having over 200 stundent. This stundents being victims in teenage pregnancy and some being survivors of early marriages , we can impact students with knowledge on sexual rights. St Bakita having FGM survivors and early marriage victims we can addres SRHR information . In kitala kapel TTI impact impact firty stundents with knowledge on SRHR through conducting training on weekly basis for a period of three months then conducting another slot of firty students with the same knowledge , conducting this in eight slots covering over 400 stundents in span of one year . Providing internet in this institute for student to access online website e.g www.lifeyangu.com and Nimechanuka platform. Conduct the same at Kodich TTI. When conducting this slots , choose students from different wards in north pokot.At st Bakihta secondary training a few group of students on their sexual right and how to report incase of un abuse .

The Technical Training Institute is a good target where we found young people from different wards of north pokot ,who are familiar this SRHR related abuse but they only lack knowledge and control. If we can impact local people with the knowledge , they will act like mentors in the community and some won't make same mistake or they will know they right and they speak for them self . I believe un empowered young people is a strong and rich community whom they can speak for them selves

The empowered and trained students will be knowing they right and they access SRHR platforms to learn and add more knowledge on their sexual rights. This students will be community mentors and they will spread this information in the community . If young people know their right and they have all information e.g( How contareceptive works Harmful and damage of FGM and important of family planning ) This will a long term impact to the community the young people trained now will be parents in the future and they will pass information in geration to come .

Conducts a weekly training on a slot of firty students in period of three months for each slot. Offering refreshment for the student on each training session. After the three month training conduct a test to record the positive gain of the ssessions. After the target have been archived conduct follow up session on the mentors and see how many people they have reached in the community
