One of the common myths about contraceptives is: Condoms are not effective at preventing pregnancy.

However, When used correctly and consistently, condoms are highly effective at preventing both pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections. However, myths about their effectiveness may lead individuals to not use them or to use them incorrectly.
